ABOUT TELISOCITUM TANKAPILIA (1976-77)
A play in three parts for the reorganization of the world after it was hypothetically too hot to Inhabit. The entire plot has little dialogue it was intended to be presented like a silent film,where some 24 different facial cosmetic treatments, conveyed moods. Montmerency Mills a scientist ,was the principle figure ,his research into desert fauna lead to creating a new species of plant capable of withstanding extreme heat. Two animated sculptures were developed by him,to harvest this crop. Tankerpilia resembled a tortoise where its shell acted as a solar collector,energizing its slow and laborious movements ,perfect for its agricultural endeavors. Telisocitum had the use of butterfly wings to harness sun and inspect from a vantage point .A full manuscript of symbolic stagings exists. two sculptures , (stage sets )drawings and notebooks. Telisocitum destroyed, Tankapillia is in need of restoration.
